Whether you are relaxing on a blanket, sitting at a picnic table, or cooking outdoors on an open grill, Mineola Civic Center offers plenty of fun for families looking to spend some quality time together!

Picnic Areas

Near the playground, you'll find concrete picnic tables with their own barbecue grills to enjoy the fresh air while cooking a delicious meal for your family. Some portion of this area is shaded. These are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Afterwards, there's plenty of wide-open spaces to connect with nature.

Fields

Need a place to fly a kite or play touch football, Mineola Civic Center’s fields and open spaces are available. The fields are also used to present the city’s annual July 4th fireworks celebration, MCC’s popular Junk in the Trunk event, the circus and many other events.

To use Mineola Civic Center’s Fields & Open Spaces for large groups, such as schools, churches, etc., please contact our office – 903-569-6115.

When emergencies happen, UT Health East Texas uses the fields at Mineola Civic Center to transport patients in their medically equipped helicopters to a nearby emergency room.
